ONLINE AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT - A LESSON IN SOCIAL MEDIA AND AN INSTAGRAM TAKEOVER

Another perk of the Missouri Method is the opportunity to work for real clients as a part of ​class curriculum. In my Online Audience Development class, I was given the opportunity to work with a small team of fellow female journalists to produce content for the University of Missouri Journalism School's Instagram account. 

How did we do it?:

We did this by reaching out to alumni, students and faculty to participate in our account takeovers on Monday (#mizzoumademonday), Wednesday (#whatwedowednesday) and Friday (#facultyfriday) each week for a 16-week period. 

Let's talk numbers:

During our reign as account managers, we were able to increase the account's following by more that 60 percent.
